Day Opportunities & Therapeutic Services

Every day we create unique opportunities for people with disabilities so they can thrive within their local community.

Day Opportunities

We provide a vital social service for people in our community who have high personal care needs and disabilities. We work closely with each individual and the people who are important to them to develop a care plan, identifying interests, skill sets and learning styles

We encourage and offer tailored support to people so that they can participate in and contribute to their local community. We have extensive knowledge of the local area and have built meaningful resource partnerships which enables us to provide individuals with invaluable access to therapeutic learning and leisure activities.

We offer a flexible approach that responds quickly to local needs. Whether an individual requires high levels of support and life skills training, or a person with complex needs is seeking a route into employment, PRS can help each service user to take control of their lives, gaining vital life skills training and a heightened sense of independence and self-worth.

Therapeutic Services

Our therapeutic services are focused on creating an accessible, interesting and educational world where individuals can explore life choices and independent thinking.

We deliver activity-based training on Exercise & Wellbeing, Food & Cookery, Film & Cinema and much more, encouraging service users to make friends, enjoy leisure activities and develop new practical skills and self-expression techniques. Those who use our services are supported by highly skilled tutors and Personal Assistants to implement, manage and review their health and wellbeing as well as their participation and progress, ensuring realistic support outcomes are met.

From in-house taster sessions to community-based activities, we help people to explore new opportunities, technologies and sensory experiences that boost their confidence and ability to build meaningful relationships.

Each individual is assessed and their programme and support outcomes agreed upon and understood by the individual and the people who are important to them. Our highly trained Personal Assistants support individuals fully and work closely with professionals to monitor their progress in areas such as physiotherapy and speech & language therapy.
